About AQA science GCSE coursesAQA offer the following GCSE course specifications: GCSE Science A In year 10 (usually) Science (Science A or B, sometimes
refered to as Core Science) is taken. It is compulsory. [If the student
is not ready for GCSE level science, then they might take the Entry Level
Certificate. I don't include details of this yet.] Separate sciences can be taken and there is also a 2 year Applied Science course. AQA offer two versions of (core) Science: A and B. Specification A uses short multiple choice questions while specification B uses more 'traditional' written exam questions. The content is the same. Make sure you know which you're taking! The word 'specification' is often used instead of 'syllabus'. |
